Well after a lot of late nights our engineers have pulled it off, the beta release of the new generation of EditLive! Our "track changes" feature is quite different to the other offerings that have quickly made an appearance since our initial announcement. This "track changes" is built into the editor. There is no third party application, no separate file or document to deal with. This makes integration to your server based application extremely easy. We did a swap out on an IBM Workplace WCM installation in 30 minutes. Track Changes even picks up formatting alterations and modifications to tables and lists. Cool new features include colour coding according to who made the change plus notes on each change that mark the time and author of each change ....a bit like what you see in Microsoft Word.
Other new features include the first thesaurus available on an online rich text editor and improved styles dropdowns that change according to what type of content you are working on at the time: tables, lists or various kinds of text - all fully customisable of course. Other changes will be less obvious feature wise but will be felt by users when they notice the more robust table support on offer.
