Productivity Pack Support
EditLive! 6.0 supports the newly released EditLive! Productivity Pack. Authors can now create, review, update and publish online documents more quickly and more easily with the new track changes feature. There is no need to resort to e-mail, third party applications, meetings or phone calls. The entire workflow can be handled by Ephox EditLive and your content management platform, be it a CMS, Wiki or Blog application. As you can imagine, track changes is going to save your authors a lot of time and makes the review process painless. We proved this by using track changes in our most recent update of the Ephox web site.
Content Preservation
If a user is editing an online document and then accidentally browses away from the editor(for example by pushing backspace when the editor does not contain the cursor) then they will lose their content in every editor on the market except EditLive! 6.0. Try this sequence with any competing editor on the market:
- Load the competing editor
- Type some text in the editor
- Press “Back” in the browser
- Press “Forward” in the browser
- Note the loss of content (it’s reverted back to the original content of the demonstration)

Extended styles support
These new features make complex Cascading Style Sheets so much easier to work with. CSS is a huge part of making great web content and it's going to keep on getting more usable in EditLive!.
- Context sensitive styles drop downs and right click menus
- Non-text styles added to the styles menu (e.g. tables and lists)
Tables
Our table code has been improved for better stability and repeatability. Two new features have been added:
- Table auto fit command
- Pressing "tab" in the last cell of the table will now add a row
Documentation
- Separate sections for Installation, Developer Guide, Reference, Examples and Tutorials
- New search feature added
- New tutorials for integrating EditLive!
