New Productivity Pack improves collaboration in content management systems
We are pleased to announce the new EditLive! Productivity Pack which incorporates track changes, among other things.
This application offers the best set of new features we have ever released. The Productivity Pack is easy to integrate by simply enabling it in the configuration and requires no external applications or changes to your system - about 10 minutes work. The Productivity Pack is compatible with EditLive! 6.0, EditLive! Swing SDK 6.0 and EditLive! for IBM Workplace Web Content Management 3.0.
The Productivity Pack is a bundle of three applications:
- Track changes - flash demo
- Equation Editor - flash demo
- Thesaurus - flash demo
Content authors can create, review, update and publish online documents more quickly and more easily. There is no need to resort to e-mail, third party applications, meetings or phone calls. The entire workflow can be handled by Ephox EditLive and your content management platform, be it a CMS, Wiki or Blog application. As you can imagine, track changes is going to save your authors a lot of time; and by making the review process so painless, your content quality will improve. We proved this by using track changes in our most recent update of the Ephox web site.
The changes of up to nine different contributors can be tracked and are displayed in different colors.
Track changes is much more than a diff tool as it tracks every change made to a document, not simply the differences between the previous and current version of a document. This delivers a clearer view of what has changed and a more readable document draft.
